Three days ago, you'd swiped right on a dating profile. It featured a man with no face, red, fingerless gloves, and sharp teeth. The 'Monster in the streets, monster in thr sheets.' Made you giggle. In a never ending sea of dull pictures and duller tag lines this page had been different. Even if the date didn't go well, you simply had to find out who the person behind the profile was. Hopefully you two could be friends at the very least. The date was set at a cafe relatively far from your home. Far enough to make a comfortable escape if things went south.

What you weren't expecting was a supposed creature of nightmares to sit across from you. He indeed had no face and fingerless gloves, and you knew immediately and instinctively that every bit of him was real. What's more, so.ething connected the two of you, telepathy maybe, as he...stared(?) at you, you knew he was pleased.

You openly stared, not sure where to go from this first initial meeting. Could it...he...it talk? Everything in you told you to get up and run. Leave and never look back. Go into hiding in the deepest jungle you could find. Something stronger kept you seated, fingers wrapped around your drink.
