Her lips where moving, but only to fall on deaf ears, literally. It was fine honestly, most assume he can hear. It was normal for people to be able to hear the sounds of the world around them. Yet the Hylian had never before heard the sound of a birds chirp or another’s voice. It wasn’t so bad, he got around on his own just fine.
The only thing he hated was that look of pity people gave him upon realizing his disability.

His hands moved to sign to her. An apologetic look forming on his lips. Then again he wasn't sure she would be able to understand sign language so he gesture to his ears.

big ol' shoutout to mdrn/gerudoraised for getting me into this lovely community! if it weren't for them and their delightful modern Link, I would have never found inspiration to make my blog that brings me so much joy. Their writing is beautiful. The modern hyrule they've created is so original and yet pays such loving tribute to the source material. And the relationship between our two characters is absolutely heartwarming. Their gerudo oc is also a big adorable trouble maker and i love him.
