SPN CANON REWRITINGS: crowley gets his hands on ben braeden. unbeknownst that ben was a hunter, dean receives a call from the past that changes everything.
he stares at the demon for a long time. long enough that any amount of time could pass without him knowing. he looks at crowley's eyes, his jas and chin covered in facial hair, the crook of his nose. after that, the taller man steps close, his hands crossed over his chest, invading crowley's space. silent for another moment. then: 'you're such a fuckin' ass, y'know that?' @hellceo.

So why is no one talking about the fact that Aziraphale says "We're friends" first? In episode 2, when he gets carried away reading prophecies and Crowley calls him, he gets all flustered and says "We friends! I can't believe you even asked me" about antichrist updates.
Good question :). I think it nicely shows that while Aziraphale through the centuries oscilates with his attitude to Crowley, subconsiously he truly thinks of him as a friend :). And could only say it out loud at that point when his mind and thus his filters went elsewhere :).

The Seraph wasn't overly concerned with the sensed presence of a demon, but the figure's strange gait couldn't help but draw his gaze. There wasn't a ray of sunshine to be found in the stormy skies, and yet a pair of sunglasses sat above a sharp nose.
Yet his sureness, the ease in his long frame, it reminded the Seraph of a certain trickster god he had not looked in on in some time. Perhaps he should.
"... You seem familiar, but. I don't believe we've met."
