Ok, I recently found out about the Crowdstrike thing...
One thing I can say for certain is that they fucked up big time.
Hospitals, airports, banks, every machine that used Crowdstrike got shut down because of this shit.
TEST YOUR FUCKING CODE DEVS!!
And if the file got corrupted, WELL KEEP A FUCKING CHECKSUM OR SOMETHING IDK
Don't push directly to prod. Incidents similar to this happened other times (like when some dev at GitLab accidentally deleted the prod DB instead of the test DB or when Cloudflare enabled some feature and leaked data or something) but nowhere near as catastrophic as this.
