A Star Trek and Star Wars Crossover Story
Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise live the life of normal Starfleet officers. But what the Federation does not know is that Captain Picard and his crew are planning to reveal a shocking secret with the help of some old and new friends. How will the Federation respond? Will Captain Picard and his friends be forced into a war?
This story begins in the middle of the Star Trek The Next Generation episode, Drumhead. I will be changing the outcome of the trial that took place and what happens from that point on is all my ideas.
In the interrogation room on board the Enterprise
"Tell me, Captain, have you completely recovered from your experience with the Borg?" Admiral Nora Satie inquired.
"Yes, I have completely recovered." Captain Picard replied.
"It must have been awful for you... actually becoming one of them. Being forced to use your vast knowledge of Starfleet operations to aid the Borg. Just how many of our ships were lost? Thirty-nine? And a loss of life, I believe, measured at nearly 11,000. One wonders how you can sleep at night, having caused so much destruction. I question your actions, Captain; I question your choices, I question your loyalty!"
Admiral Nora Satie's voice rose in volume until she was practically shouting. Captain Picard looked her straight in the eyes as he calmly replied, "Am I correct in assuming that you don't trust me and my judgment at all, and that you'll do anything you can to put a stop to my so called traitorous actions?" While he was saying this Picard ,with his thoughts, instructed Dianna Troy to contact their old friends and inform them of the situation.
"That is most certainly correct Captain. If you believe for one moment that your actions will go unnoticed and unpunished then you are wrong Picard! I will expose you for what you really are, a traitor and enemy of the Federation!" Admiral Nora snapped.
Picard sighed as he said "You know, there are some words I've known since I was a schoolboy: "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie, as wisdom and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged. I fear that today...
"How dare you! You who consort with Romulans, invoke my father's name to support your traitorous arguments. It is an offense to everything I hold dear. And to hear those words used to subvert the United Federation of Planets. My father was a great man! His name stands for integrity and principle. You dirty his name when you speak it! He loved the Federation. But you, Captain, corrupt it. You undermine our very way of life. I will expose you for what you are. I've brought down bigger men than you, Picard!"
At this Riker leaped to his feet and drew his blue lightsaber along with Worf, Data, and Doctor Crusher.
"How dare you speak to our Captain like that!" Riker growled.
"You have no right to accuse him of any wrongdoing!" Worf snarled.
"Our Captain has risked his life multiple times for us! There is no better Starfleet captain then he is!" Doctor Crusher exclaimed.
"If you continue to pursue this path of accusation then we may be forced to take more drastic measures." Data remarked.
Admiral Nora Satie looked around startled and confused. Riker, Worf, Crusher, and Data had spread themselves out behind her ready to intervene if their captain gave the order. Nora Satie looked back at Picard.
"What's going on Captain? Where did those strange weapons come from? Does Starfleet know about this?"
Slowly Picard stood as he replied, "I must confess that you are right to question my loyalty. Ever since you set foot on my ship you have accused my crew without a cause, undermined my authority as Captain of this ship, and disrupted our way of life. I trust every one of my crew with my life. Never once have I had reason to believe otherwise and if you think you can come here accusing one of my crew and get away with it then you're wrong. Every one aboard this ship possesses and knows how to use one of those weapons. They are called lightsabers and I'll give you a little demonstration of their use."
Picard signaled Riker to step up beside him. They faced each other as Picard drew out his lightsaber: green and double bladed. Picard and Riker slowly circled each other before Picard leaped at Riker, aiming for Riker's right shoulder. Riker responded by blocking his Captain's attack with his own lightsaber. The lightsabers clashed and whirred as the battle continued. Picard jumped up on a nearby table, kicking out at Riker as he did so. Riker flew backwards, his lightsaber skidding out of his hand. Turning to the Admiral Picard said "If you do not leave my ship at once then we will force you to leave!"
"No! I will not leave! Starfleet will hear of this and you all will be punished according to what you deserve!" Nora Satie exclaimed, standing from her seat and turning to leave the room.
"Wait! You haven't seen the best part yet!" Picard called after her.
"Whatever do you mean by that?" Nora Satie asked.
"Number One, Data, Mr. Worf, and Doctor Crusher do you agree that nows the best time to put the plan we discussed into action?" Picard asked.
"Yes sir!" Everyone chorused.
"Very well then. Admiral, if you will kindly follow us to the bridge. Then,I think, some of your questions will be answered."
Picard lead the way to the bridge will a reluctant Admiral Nora Satie following. About halfway to their destination they ran into Dianna Troy.
"Captain, the message you requested to be sent has been received and our friends are on their way." Troy said, directing her thoughts directly into the minds of everyone but Nora Satie.
Turning to Nora Picard said "This is our counselor, Dianna Troy. She has just informed me that some friends of ours are about to arrive."
"How? How could she have just told you that when she didn't even say anything?"
"She can because she is half Betazoid." Picard replied as he continued down the corridor. "Dianna, please accompany the rest of us to the bridge."
Upon reaching the bridge Captain Picard sat down in the captain's chair as his bridge crew took their normal positions around the room.
Several minutes passed in silence before Admiral Nora Satie asked in annoyance, "Well, what are we waiting for? Where are these friends of yours?"
"Patience. They'll be here soon.",Picard responded confidently,"Ah! Here they are."
The Millennium Falcon, the Ghost, and two Jedi star fighters exited hyperspace, suddenly appearing on the view screen of the Enterprise.
"These are the friends we spoke of." Picard said gesturing to the ships outside.
"But those aren't Federation ships! They don't look like anything I've ever seen before."
"Not surprising considering we're not from around here."
The Admiral jumped as she heard these words being spoken. "Who said that!", she demanded, looking around expecting to see who had spoken.
Riker laughed. "Don't look at us! We didn't say that, one of them did!" He proclaimed, pointing at the ships on the view screen.
"What is happening? How is this happening?" Nora Satie demanded, looking more and more confused.
"Why don't you all come over and introduce yourselves." Picard suggested "That way the Admiral won't be anymore confused then she already is!"
"With pleasure. We've been anxious to see you guys again." Anakin responded.
Turning the Nora Satie,Picard said "I've asked them to come over and introduce themselves. Just as a warning, they're not going to beam in. They're just going to appear in this room."
As soon as he finished speaking Anakin,ObiWan,Ashoka,Padme,Luke,Leia,Han Solo,Ben Solo,Ray,Kanan,Hera,Sabine,Zeb,and Ezra appeared in the room.
"Hey guys! It's good to see you all again." Luke greats.
"So this is the one who's been causing you and your crew so much trouble, Picard?" Obi Wan asked, walking closer to Nora Satie.
"You bet she is. If we can't convince her that we're not trying to destroy the Federation then we may have to kill her!" Worf said crossing his arms and glaring at Nora Satie.
"Surly you won't really let them kill me, Picard?" Nora asked nervously.
"Before this conversation goes any further there is something I must make completely clear to you. Most of this crew has been on this ship for as long as I have and they are more than a crew to me, they are my family. I couldn't ask for or find a better crew than this one. I would not have it any other way." Picard said.
"Around here we don't like those that criticize or accuse us, especially without a reason. What you do to any one on this crew, you do to us, and we take it personally." Riker proclaimed.
"So yes. If I saw fit, and gave the order, they would kill you no matter what Starfleet might do!" Picard affirmed.
Nora Satie gasped. "Then you are planning something! I knew it! Just you wait Picard, I'll see you and your friends punished for this!" Nora Satie stormed off of the bridge as Riker moved to stop her from leaving.
"Wait Number One, let her leave and see if if anyone at Starfleet believes her. If they do then it'll be the perfect excuse to reveal our true power to Starfleet." Picard said holding out his arm to stop Riker.
Captain Picard sat in his Ready Room browsing through reports when Commander Riker entered the room.
"We've cleared away the tables and chairs in Ten Forward as requested Captain, are you ready to begin?"
"Call everyone and have them meet with me in Ten Forward in 20 minutes. We have plans to make and little time to do it in." Picard ordered.
Picard strode to the end of the room with Riker by his side. "Good evening everyone. As you all know by now two weeks ago Admiral Nora Satie attempted to accuse us of being traitors to the Federation. While that may not be true, we must still be prepared for the Admiral to convince the Federation to hunt us down. With this knowledge in mind ,I have given the matter a great deal of thought, and I have determined that everyone on board must have at least three hours worth of lightsaber training each day. I've asked Anakin, Luke, Leia, and Obi Wan to take up the role of Training Masters until the time comes for us to fight. This new training regime begins now!"
Riker helped Picard sort the crew into four equal groups to begin training. Obi Wan, Luke, Anakin, and Leia practiced with the crew; improving their form and fighting style as well as exposing them to various situations in which they might have to fight. While his crew practiced, Picard and Riker decided to talk to the remainder of their Star Wars friends about their plan of action should the Federation come after them. Walking back to Picard's Ready Room, they found everyone else gathered around inside.
Picard took a seat at his desk as he said, "Well, what do we do now?"
"We could try reasoning with your Federation. But if previous experience is anything to judge by, they won't even accept that." Padme remarked thoughtfully.
"Ya know what. I think we've been backed into a corner. If they come after us-" Han said.
"And they will." Riker interrupted.
Han glared at Riker before continuing. "As I was saying. If they come after us we won't be left with any choice. We'll have to attack or be attacked sooner rather then later."
"How do you propose we do that Han Solo? We can't treat the Federation like we treat the Empire!" Hera exclaimed.
"We don't necessarily have to attack the Federation in that sense." Kanan said.
"Yah. We don't kill them, just frighten them a little." Ezra said.
"Remind them who's in charge," Sebine said.
"Expand their view of the world." Ray chimed in.
"But if they force our hand, how will we do all that without killing them or us?" Ben inquired.
Picard stroked his chin thoughtfully, Riker leaned against the doorframe eyes downcast, while the others quietly talked among themselves, discussing what should be done.
"I have it!" Riker's sudden exclamation startled everyone. "If they attack us some of us can beam over to their ship and cause a distraction while anyone left on the Enterprise attacks their ship enough to cripple it in some way." Riker said looking around with a great, big grin on his face.
Slowly everyone else nodded. "That could work Number One. I'm tasking you with briefing the crew on our, or rather, your plan."
"Yes, Captain." Riker replied before exiting the room.
"If there's nothing urgent you need us for, Picard, I think we'll leave and continue to prep ourselves for an imminent attack." Hera said, getting up.
"Yes, you all may leave. I'll inform you if we pick up any new information regarding the Admiral's accusations." Picard replied as he leaned back in his chair.
