So yeah...I decided to draw up Jack and Rapunzel in Hogwarts AU for once. I normally don't like this AU because people would argue on who is supposed to be in which house. I will say this, for a long time, I don't think I ever agreed on Jack being in Slytherin. He doesn't fit it at all. I feel the only reason people stuck him in Slytherin is because they wanted to balance out The Big Four because everyone always kept putting Merida in Gryffindor and Hiccup and Rapunzel switching back and forth with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. And also that he's mischievous. And Jack is much more than that. He's brave, playful, prone to living in the moment and not taking himself seriously as well as being wary of manipulators and liars (i.e. Pitch Black) just like a Gryffindor. Merida is the one who fits Slytherin. She's ambitious, driven, focused on her goals, determined and pretty ruthless. And the things she did in her movie really do push her more to be Slytherin then Jack does in his own movie. So yeah, Jack will always be a Gryffindor in my book.
As for Rapunzel, she's a little harder. On the one hand, she does fit Hufflepuff to an extent. She's hard working, determined, loyal, genuine, and passionate. However, she's also intelligent, curious, creative, witty, self-entertaining, fond of learning for the sake of learning like a Ravenclaw. I feel the extent of her being creative is what drives me to put her in Ravenclaw more so. The same can be said for Hiccup. I put him in Hufflepuff because he's more open-minded and loyal then him wanting to learn things. The friendship he has with Toothless is what made me pick this choice. I have heard some people find it insulting to have Hiccup in Hufflepuff, but honestly, I think it's insulting they would even think that. They make it sound like Hufflepuff is the bottom of the barrel and honestly, I like all four houses. And I'm a Gryffindor mind you. But...anyhoo, those are my thoughts on why I picked the houses for these guys. You all can disagree with me if you want, but for me, I like what I picked for these guys. And to talk about this picture, Jack is fixing Rapunzel's scarf and they get a little closer. I may write a one shot of this...until then...
