I hope he cries about it every day! May they both be miserable mange-pelts!" *Bloodpetal pauses* "...she still better not talk to me. I don't like her face, and she doesn't need one!"

Bloodpetal isn’t exactly the empathetic type lol, but this hit a nerve she's absolutely not admitting to. She doesn't allow herself to feel sympathy because that was trained out of her. She thinks Rainflower is scum and low but she doesn't want you to think she cares how a kit is treated. Especially one she never met before, and just wants to to avoid complicated emotions she doesn't have the language for.

She will deny she feels anything. That and she doesn't think it's a big deal. Because at least Crookedjaw still has a family to neglect him rather than none at all. He still has a Clan and a brother. So she gets envious and hostile. She uhm, doesn't process emotions very well. 

When she realizes Crookedjaw is a descendant of her father, she's not exactly reacting to Crookedjaw himself. It’s her hatred towards her dad, and while she doesn't obsess over bloodlines like Mapleshade, she's still bitter enough to dismiss Crookedjaw entirely as worthless and sees whatever suffering he experiences as a way to hurt her dad. She's just going to be paws off overall.
