True cromaka dynamic

I’m actually gonna use this post to dump my headcannons, I’ve shared them with Reddit, TikTok, discord and YouTube so i figured I should talk about em here

This is mostly about anime Crona, since these headcanons imply Crona gets a happy ending

Crona cannot understand animals aren’t capable of malice, especially animals like snakes, they’re generally very uncomfortable around small animals given their childhood, they *cannot* own pets.

Crona is a little sassy, I mean in the anime they pretend to not hear maka alongside soul and Justin while she’s in the coffin, they also blatantly don’t like makas mother, they keep most of their rude thoughts to themselves, or they may talk to ragnarock if he happened to see whatever bullshit ticked Crona off, but for characters like spirit, who Crona has every reason to dislike, they may be a little more blunt

Despite this technically being Cromaka art, I don’t think they’d be healthy and they’d have to stick to being close friends. I feel like Crona is never going to be ready for romantic relationships, given the amount of neglect and abuse they’ve faced for literally their entire life, they’re going to have some major lifelong issues, they’re aromantic and asexual in my mind, maka is much more valuable as a best friend to them.

However Crona may confuse their admiration and platonic love for maka as romantic feelings because they’re so not used to feeling love.

Crona was taught that love is conditional, and they’ll never meet the conditions, maka is the first person in their life to challenge that notion.

Crona cannot tell the difference between ai generated animal content and real animal content, especially if it’s one of those horrible cctv low quality animal ones. They’d show maka ai slop with a big dumb smile as she just frowns. ((Maka is totally anti ai))

Crona enjoys violent video games, they like games like postal, gta, or games where they can torture things, like zoo tycoon, or the sims. They actually think most of these games are a little goofy, given their actual experience.

They of course also like cute games like animal crossing too, I’d be remiss to imply Crona doesn’t enjoy cute things, they’d switch between playing postal and animal crossing, and they do bond with maka over the sims or zoo tycoon. ((If you’ve ever watched GT games you know torturing sims and zoo animals in those games are so fucking funny to watch))

Crona has no sense of fashion, they typically just wear what’s given to them, prompting characters like patty to give them absolute bullshit meme slop shirts.

Crona has noticeable scars, BUT!!!! I do not think they hurt themselves to hurt themselves, if that makes sense, their scars are mostly from them using their blood as a weapon, or ragnarock exiting ((cause its implied that shit hurts)) their actual self harming behavior is more isolating themselves/pushing people they like away, not saying I don’t think it makes sense, I get it, but i personally don’t think Crona would harm just to hurt. Crona doesn’t really *like* hurting, like to a point I think they’d avoid it unless needed ((like using their blood as a weapon))

Crona has eating disorder behavior, to me it makes sense, given they were starved their entire life, they may hoard food they never actually get to eating, I also feel like they’d have issues keeping a space clean, clutter would build up and Crona just wouldn’t know how to deal with the mess as it got bigger, and this food hoarding would probably be a part of it!

I cannot take full credit for this idea, i actually got it from a discussion with a Reddit user about Cronas general mental health.

Another one that’s not fully my own, but I relate to directly

Crona happily snitches on people, they *love* when anger and abuse is directed at anyone but them, Theyd get any dirt they can on Eruka and Free, and they’d *immediately* tell Medusa.

This behavior carries into their life at the dwma, for example: they witness soul steal the last slice of cake in the fridge that maka was saving, they *immediately* text maka about it, they don’t really understand the social consequences of something like that, or how petty that is, probably not until they get confronted.

Crona canonically doesn’t understand why killing is bad, in the manga, they don’t understand the sins they have to atone for, they just know they love maka.

The only reason Crona wants to stop hurting people is because they love maka, her being one of the only people they care about hurting, and they know falling back into their old ways would devastate her.

Crona has a pretty twisted sense of morality, as I mentioned before, Crona cannot understand animals are incapable of malice, however id a dog were to bite them, they’d think the dog hates them.

It’s gonna take a *lot* of time for them to unlearn what Medusa spoon fed them from out the womb. Their recovery, even if they truly can’t fully recover, is going to be extremely slow and rocky.

Crona is jealous of maka. Crona doesn’t understand how she can be so mean to spirit, and he still unconditionally loves her. It actually really pisses them off, they would’ve given *anything* to be loved, and maka gets it for nothing. And they also don’t understand why spirit is so nice, so supportive. It deeply depresses them.

They’d of course never tell maka this, they know it’d upset her, so they’d just bottle it up.
