Whenever someone posts a mech ID request online there's like a 20% chance it's Syllogy's Crockett. The model distinctly lacks the CRK's torso-mounted AC, confusing a lot of people who come across the design second hand. Anyway, fuck it it's a clan version now
The goal here was to replicate the loadout visually and make a worthy clantech upgrade to the mobile shithouse that the original. ER lasers give the Crockett IIC a long arm while a pair of Streak SRM launchers allow it to pelt anything that gets close. This is a fairly underpowered payload for a clan assault mech, but that's due to the use of hardened armor. 26 tons provide 168% normal belt protection, more than half again more the CRK-5003's cladding despite being 5 tons lighter. The XL engine and explosive ammo do provide some potential brittleness once the armor is cracked, but CASE II and an ocean of double heat sinks can absorb a lot of punishment to the fragile mech meat inside the Crockett IIC.
