How today started vs how it's going so far.
I think I'm fairly good at crocheting at this point. And I wanted to make a collar for my kitty. I measured her neck (very important) before I started to crochet.
It.. uh... it fits my neck. I'm .... not ...sure how this happened.
well... the first attempt usually comes out a little....
anyway, second time's the charm I guess?
Needless to say its been a while since ive crocheted
Tried to make one of those small round birds and ended up with a raw chicken
Thing is I was trying to make a bird for my husband and eneded up with this, but ya know something you can laugh about is better then something cute sometimes. We laughed so hard over this.
guys is it crazy that my first crochet project was amigurumi? like I genuinely hadn't learned any stitches I just dove head first into a YouTube tutorial for how to make a baby octopus. I completely messed up the starting chain circle, made it inside outwards, and did FLO for the entire project. Apparently the cursed octopus is still sitting on a shelf at my friends house lol

The Stitch of Failure
did I ever tell y'all that while I was trying to do a single crochet I have managed to make TWO entirely different stitches that are apparently "not crochet" it's impressive at this point
Started a new crochet project a week ago. It's a lovely pattern but the stitch count is always off and you have to fudge a lot to even come close to the required stitch numbers. So, slightly annoying but I thought I can manage it anyways because there were so many helpful comments from people running into the same problems...
After frogging and redoing it for the third time, talking it through with a very experienced crafty friend and trying to work out the math myself, I gave up.
So, no Crimson Cardigan for me but I hope the pattern works out for other people!
