#critter stuff

it has to be small. like roughly knee height or below. this would disqualify, for example, most sonic characters (excusing chao, which are Definitely Critters)

the design has to be simple enough for me to doodle it easily

generally a critter is a whole species/race/whatever. a single character wouldnt be a critter unless it belongs to a wider amount of the same critters

i can ignore anything if i decide i want something to be a critter

chao, nightopian and i suppose the little gadgebots from r&c are all classic examples of critters. big eyes, tiny bodies, easy to draw. chao and nightopian are also very varied so its also easy to come up with 2 wildly different designs that definitely resemble each other

im like 90% sure lancer breaks all of these rules except rule 2 but i want him to be a critter and therefore rule 4 states he is
