What time period is ratatouille set in?? Like there’s no real technology and from what I’ve seen the cars all look 60s esque and if I remember correctly, Ego only types on a type writer, but the short chef pulled out what he claimed to be really good wine from ‘61? So can we assume since it’s good wine and good wine is aged for awhile that it’s from 1861?? I’m so confused.

Taking this to alt because I have opinions. I really do not like pairing Katia and Carl romantically. I just do not see the vision. Those two are friends. They are so friends. They really have such a great story of growing together and caring about each other. Katia comes out of her shell starting with the Princess Posse and continuing with Safehome Yolanda. Carl needs all the friends he can get to stay sane. DCC has some excellent platonic relationships and I think Carl and Katia are examples of that! They have so much respect for each other and idk how I feel about people being able to keep that nuance without fandomizing it.

Kinda crazy that the galaxy hates the more emotional parts of the crawler's lives to the point of telling them to go back to killing or shut the hell up... when I was a dsmp fan back in 2020/21. I was there (lurking) for lore streams I was there for L'Manburg, Manburg, POG2020 vs SWAG2020, the egg, Exile, Las Nevadas, "It was never meant to be", the fucking canon fanfic about Quackity and Wilbur, the syndicate, the prison, that fucking bit with Utah. I was there for fanfics like "Heat Waves" [shudders], "Passerine" (which is unmatched), and "Flowers From 1970" (WHICH IS GONE NOW UEUEUEUE). I KNOW HOW HUMANS REACT TO LORE SHIT. THEY EAT IT UP AND ASK FOR SECONDS (and thirds and fourths until the cow cannot give any more milk, and that's when they ask for meat...)
My point being. Galaxy a bunch of fakeass losers who can't get with the program of being grateful for softer moments in the crawl because I *KNOW* that real ones would be crying sobbing and developing parasocial relationships.
