Gangsters and a translator rough sketch.

Michael Langdon (Outpost version) is a rich and powerful crimeboss, who control the city, and even more. Importants people know that, people he helped or threated know that, but they all pretend he is a normal business man. 

Reader is a young journalist who loves her job and justice. When she discovers what Langdon really is, she wants to write about it but her boss refuses. He is one of Michael’s “employees”. She did it anyway, the article is read by a lot of people before removed less than a hour after publication. 

She is taken to Langdon’s, who plays the nice gentleman. If she apologizes in an new article, in which she will say how kind and good he is, everything will be alright for everyone. If she refuses, her life will become a nightmare. “Write me a nice story” he said. Reader accepted, but doesn’t write the “nice” story he had in mind. 

This time, Langdon even have to answers some questions, telling that the journalist’s blog was hacked. It was all lies but since it was a poor joke, he is not going to press charges. At the same time, Reader is fired. 

After that, evertytime she tries to talk about him, something awful happen. She loses her flat, her money, her belongings. Her friends, scared, can’t help her. She ends up in the stress, without money, when winter is coming. Until three men tried to rape her. 

Forgot the soulmate part ? Reader doesnt really care about her soulmate, her job comes first. On the other hand, Michael really wants to find his soulmate. That’s why he said to a lot of people what his mark was. The men knows. When they see Reader’s mark, they panicked and ran away. She is Michael’s. She doesn’t know, he doesn’t know, yet. 

Taken at the hospital, the doctor Donna Chambers is not sure what she should do. As a doctor, she wants to help this poor girl, hurt, cold, starving. But she recognize her name, she knows the rules about her. It’s only when she sees the mark that she doubted and decided to take her in. 

Michael is not pleased at first. Donna accepted to throw Reader outside again, without treatment, but before leaving his house, she talks about the mark. After seeing it with his own eyes, Michael changes completely, saying that Reader must be treated like a queen and that he wants news everyday. 

But Reader is suspicious. She doesnt have money to pay the hospital. She thinks the food is poisonned or that Langdon will use it against her later if she eats. She is sure he is preparing something big when she will be out, so she is thinking about letting herself die. Because if he doesnt and let her alive, she will try over and over again to tell everyone what he is. She is a bit broken, she even asks Donna if she was going to hurt her, but still strong and fierce. Michael is proud. He just doesnt know how to make her change her mind and most importantly make her loves him.
