Greek tragedies are also surprisingly more tasteful than retellings in how they depict sexual assault, at least the ones Iâve seen. In Euripides Ion itâs Creusa who described her traumatic encounter with Apollo and sheâs met with nothing but sympathy and support from the chorus.
âif i was orpheus i wouldnât look back!!!â mfs when they find out about aeneas and creusa
Pjo making Medea just a evil women kinda ruins like the whole story about her.
Medea used to scare me as a child. I felt sick to my bone every time I read Jason's myth because I knew how she'd settle it (and it was a softened version for kids, mind you). Yet child-me couldn't help but feel her anger, and her gory actions both repulsed me and fascinated me at the same time. That's the greatness of Medea in a nutshell.
Hate how she's just an evil mini-boss in HOO (and another example of feminity being demonised by Rick, gross).
