My fuckin... pancreas man. (Rant about pancreas)-->
During the recent heatwave all of my creon got completely fucked, and I didn't realise this because I've had a cold and my blocked nose means I haven't been able to really smell anything all that well. So I didn't notice the smell (theres this particular like... chemically strange smell that creon gets when its been too hot) Anyway. Over the space of a few days obviously I've been taking my creon as usual but noticing my symptoms getting bad. Until it was like past where I felt a bit off and more like oooh my stomach is so swollen and I can feel my insides throwing somersaults and the pain is absolutely awful and even my elastic waistband pressing lightly on my stomach feels like torture.
I went to the pharmacy and politely asked if they can A) give me some fresh creon, they owe me some from my last prescription anyway, due to there always being fucking shortages. B) Give me some advice on how best to store my creon in the future during any heatwaves so this does not happen again.
So the first lady goes and gets another lady who goes and gets a third lady. The third lady is like well you cant store it in the fridge (apparently this is wrong, and you can put it in the fridge.) And shes like telling me stuff I always did, like dont keep it on the windowsill in direct sunlight and put it in the cupboard etc. I'm a bit irritated at this point cause it was stored properly. I've been on creon for years now, I know not to keep it in a place that gets very hot. I was just hoping they had something more definitive to suggest because just 'keep it in the cupboard' is not enough during a heatwave, cause everywhere in the house was above 25.
Anyway, she also is like oh I can't give you another pack today. And I did say you know the pharmacy owes me three tubs. She was like hm well I don't know about that. π«
I said I've not been able to eat a proper meal for a couple of days because if I do I'm in so much pain/cant digest what I do it and waste hours on the toilet. Clearly I was talking to a brick wall, cause she didnt give me even one of the smaller packets. Which would have sufficed. I did later on find a pack that didnt smell AS suspicious as the others, but I still think they were slightly off, cause I had bad toilet time this morning after eating a very small meal.
I'm really fucking hungry and tiny little things just don't do it!
I've put my prescription in so I should get fresh ones soon (hopefully today!) But I'm just a bit exhausted and fed up and things like this make me feel incredibly... unstable in myself. As there are to be more heatwaves in the future, I need to ensure that my essential medication does not get fucked up every time.
I feel really tired and the few things I have managed to do (washed dishes, wiped some surfaces, cat trays and school run. Also I did a lino print on a shirt for my bf.) Have wiped me out. Yesterday I kept falling asleep and feeling all weird and drowsy, then I had a sleep paralysis nightmare which is probably unrelated but still really sucked.
I'm tired and grumpy and I want to eat something yummy and not be in so much pain afterwards.
The Tragic House of Thebes Ends with Creon
In Romans 1, the sin that Paul highlights is homosexuality (see 1:26-27), a sin that not only violates the Mosaic Law in an ethical way but which is demonstrably contrary to the nature of human biology and sexuality.
In a similar way, Creon's impious decision to leave a dead man unburied and to bury a living woman violates both ethical codes of conduct and the essential nature of human morality.
By violating both, Creon ends up stranding himself, isolated and alone, in a dead world. Human life cannot thrive and grow apart from that higher moral law that binds together man and God, man and man, and man and nature.
