I drafted 8 thumbnails for Iskall85 and 8 thumbnails for IskallMAN each focusing on something related to iskall/iskallman.

One such iskall85 thumbnails was this Bamboo one, initially drafted for a common card.

While exploring options for IskallMAN, and expanding on the thumbnails, I mixed an iskallman pose with the Bamboo background. I loved the background, hated the iskallMAN direction

Convincing iskall that bamboo is an iskall thing and not an iskallman thing I drafted iskall in the bamboo forest, at this point I'd decided Iskallman is chibi, Iskall is not.

After getting the go ahead from iskall to continue in this direction I cleaned up the body proportions and neatened the draft

From there it was doing the line art and colouring it
