Here’s a update from Jonathan Major’s first court date, for those of you who are interested. I made bullet points because I know how we as a society don’t like to read past headlines no matter how misleading they may be.
1. The woman changed her story. Now shes saying he forced her right forearm behind her back causing pain to her arm and middle finger (totally different than her original story)
2. The DA took out the strangulation allegation and updated paperwork to match the new claims
3. His lawyer has video proof contradicting the womans new claims but fear the DA is going to tip her off so she can yet again change her story
4. His lawyer had video proof contradicting the womans first claim which is probably why she changed her story
5. When the police arrived Majors showed the officers his injuries but they were uninterested instead taunting him siding with the woman
6. His lawyer has more evidence proving his innocence
7. His lawyer is calling it a witch hunt because she has provided and has more evidence proving his innocence and the alleged victim has changed her story a few times yet the DA won’t drop the charges
8. His next court date is June 13th
I’ve seen a lot of talk about Jonathan Majors and honestly I’m not surprised. When news first broke about his arrest a lot of people were quick to condemn him without knowing ANY facts. Literally didn’t know a thing and called him an abuser among other things. Quick to believe a random stranger on twitter who claims that Majors is toxic without providing a shred of proof. A stranger who later backpedaled on his claims by the way. I’m a fan of this incredibly talented actor but in no way will I let that influence my decision about him. If he’s guilty I will be disappointed but I do not believe he’s an abuser nor do I believe any of the allegations against him. I have yet to see any substantial evidence proving that he’s what they claim he is. So until I do, I will continue to do my due diligence and follow this case. I suggest others do the same. I’m not sorry for not believing all women. I’ve known too many men whose lives were ruined from false accusations.
In the beginning, I admit that the headlines had me. And the fact that he was being dropped by his team made me wonder if they knew something we didn’t. I kept seeing comments of people describing the bruises the alleged victim had and giving details about his history that I never heard of. But then I used my own brain and started doing my own research and realized that no one knew what the hell they were talking about. No more fan pages or fan fic’s. Which I totally understand but what I don’t get or respect is spreading false narratives about this man. Stick to the facts ONLY and keep your own personal experiences out of it.
I believe in innocent until proven guilty unless there’s undoubted evidence of guilt, which again has not been shown. Praying for this brother, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
