They are all so so beautiful and pretty. Prepare your umbrellas, hats and sunscreen because the sun is burning and there are no shades to hide in this park😅 What was really sad about this place is that people carved their names on these precious plants 🌱 We will never understand the reason and logic behind this 😤… 🗿Sculpture Park This park is right next to the Cactus Park. You can find fun and interesting sculptures here to take photos with. The burning sun ☀️ still applies here. ⛰Sea Caves Aiya Napa We took this photo here. To find this cave, you need to climb down a few rocks. Don’t worry, people managed to climb down with their slippers on, but be careful, it can be slippery. The cave is usually crowded, especially when a tour bus comes. So, prepare your poses ahead so you can take photos quickly. Second stop: Ella ⛰ We are die heart beach bums, but during lockdown Al craved for the mountains - for the fresh air, vast outdoors and solitude. So for headed for Ella, Sri Lanka’s Hill Country. It took us about 2 hours from Koslanda and the drive was so scenic; although we encountered a couple or harmless landslides just before Ella. They say, go where you feel most alive, and I guess the mountains do it for us. 🤗🤗 This picture was taken at Ella Rock - a medium-level hike crossing train tracks, countryside houses, tea plantations, tall pine trees and beautiful views. We went with our home stay host Nimal, who gave us motivation and company to reach just in time for the sunrise. Which meant waking up at 4am and hiking for almost 2 hours, the last 15 mins too steep for our untrained bodies; but boy, was it worth it! A panoramic view of the landscape and that too super private since there was no one else for the 45 mins we spent there. Time we spent soaking in the feeling and listening to Nimal’s stories and struggles due to COVID. Ella Rock is a usually a crowded hike, but right now it’s standing alone, a great escape into the vastness of the Sri Lankan landscape. Go, feel alive! . .
