Story Time!

Last year's valentine I decided to stay home and chill by making creative super cutesy muffins. Look at them!!!!

However, I did not foresee my roommate's friends being around... they were mostly chill but one of them made the day memorable. Being hit on, on valentine day, WHILE making valentine muffins (for me and myself) was a Wild experience.

A fun one too luckily! Just, not because of standard reasons. Poor lad used every sentence in his arsenal and managed to score a fat zero because every compliment/proposal just so happened to be exactly the opposite of what could have worked on me. TO BE CLEAR he was nice about it and charming and respectfu overall so A for effort, at least. 10/10 would recomment to anyone interested.

The things he said included but were not limited to...

"You will be a good mother."

One of the FIRST things he said looking at my baking. Might have worked on other girls, but in my case it was the wrong compliment for so many, many reasons...

"Your boyfriend must be lucky," looking at my unfinished muffins.

Smooth af inquiry, but once again wrong assumption on many levels. These muffins are for my single ass only.

*Insert several compliments on my looks, personality and studiousness.*

Nice to hear but he once again assumed I have a certain type of personality, and idk how to break to him that my looks have never been something I worry about (see: pijama all day and started wearing makeup recently, barely) plus I am the type of person to play dnd weekly and be a gremlin in my free time. Also, just because I am always locked in my room... doesn't mean I am studying from dusk till dawn. I can see how that assumption came to be tho.

*Attempts to convince me that I would love going to the disco in the nearby town in the late evening.*

I would not. I am certain. I know some find it fun, I'm just not made for that enviroment. Or for visiting towns for the first time at midnight. Also hello? Who's gonna finish the muffins if I leave???

"Don't you want to come and have fun?" Right before leaving, as his last attempt to rope me into going to said disco in a nearby town at midnight.

Chat, he was nice. Anyone else might have given it a shot, but I'm me so... imagine me in a pijama and bandana, with baking equipment all over the kitchen and a tray of decorated muffins in my hands, just taken out of the oven, with the most deadpan expression on my face, saying:

"I am having fun."
