Carrie seeing her photo on Saul’s murder board was pretty epic. Crazy wall is back!
Agreed and agreed, with a caveat.
This is, IIRC, only the second time we’ve ever seen a board like this that wasn’t at least in part constructed by Carrie. The other one was built by Fara, and it was her way of tracking very specific financial transactions back to Javadi.
I think this is especially relevant given Saul’s reaction when he found Carrie’s ~secret crazy wall in season six.
Look at his face. He’s like, “that’s my girl.” Because this is what Carrie does, and it’s how her brain works. It’s how she puts it all together.
The fact that Saul and his team have constructed a similar board, and the fact that Carrie is on it, is like... she’s not just tangled up in the conspiracy, she’s actually pretty much redundant.
And, furthermore, they’re in this position because of her. Because she trusted Dante. Because she had her own investigation that led her right into a Russian trap. Because she cannot trust her brain or her gut anymore.
Saul says it. “I don’t trust you. Not like I used to.” But he trusts the person she was and he is using her tactics to dissect the conspiracy. He can’t trust her now.
She’s the world’s most unreliable narrator.
