" It takes heart to play! Do you have one? "
Next Gen Magazine Vol. 3 n77 - May, 2001.
if youre able to squeeze in another plural headcanon- i suggest "adventures with anxiety" which is a really short game about anxiety and it can be easily read as plural imo
Oh my god! Thank you for introducing me to this incredible, masterpiece of a game! π
Anyone who wants to play can find it here:
(Warning, there is some mature content in the game)
Adventures With Anxiety is a choice-based story game about a human and their anxiety, in which you become the anxiety.
And yes, it's very plural! I mean, I wouldn't even count it as head-canon. The presentation is of anxiety as a separate entity with the ability to experience growth and development like a person, they communicate as separate people, there's even some dialogue options when the human points out that the anxiety isn't real, and you can respond by pointing out that the human is no more real than they are.
There's an interesting trope of... what I'll call Personification Plurality in fiction, where normal emotions are personified in a plural way.
While this may not intentionally be meant to be plural, works that use this trope definitely are.
Especially when, as I mentioned before, we actually see the personified emotions developing themselves as people, clearly having their own memories and distinct sense of self.
I absolutely loved this! Thanks again for pointing me in its direction! π

Does anybody remember Blue Stinger for the Dreamcast? I've never gotten a chance to play but I've fallen in love with the thing. Blue Stinger's a 'survival horror' action adventure with dinosaur mutants, a Williams-style 'cinematic' score, and extremely corny dialog with voices from Ryan Drummond, Deem Bristow, and Lani Minella (aka Sonic Adventure Sonic, Dr. Eggman, and Rogue respectively) in what seems to be one of their first voice roles ever. From what i've gathered, it's shockingly good for an early title with the main complaints being voice acting and pacing. Favorite parts of it from what i've experienced are the soundtrack (which you should TOTALLY go listen to it's underrated to hell and back) as well as enemy design (which is also underrated as all hell and not documented at all, would love to see someone dig up some concept art for them). By the way, did i mention the game was made by Crazy Games, the creators of Illbleed? ...of course, after I finished watching a playthrough, my mind immediately thought of doing a crack crossover fic between it and Amphibia of all things. it's being worked on atm.
