My Earthbound kids <3 I love them so much

My soulmate has leukemia.
The moment Sophie leaves and I pull the car out of her driveway, everything starts falling apart. I pull over, my emotions jumbled and messing with my head.
A sob comes from nowhere, drawing out water in its cue to slide down my cheeks.
I’ve just met her and my life’s already revolving around hers. Everyday my thoughts spin to her. I’ll do whatever she wants, she just has to ask. I want her to be okay.
I don’t want her to die.
The thought makes my heart beat faster, aching with pain as my chest heaves in an attempt to calm down. I hit the wheel with my fingers, trying to get physical pain to snap me out of my emotional turmoil.
Is it too soon to say I love her? I barely know her, but I love what I’ve seen so far. All she is, all we could be…the future is so full of potential.
She’s my only light in a dark tunnel. I have someone less than family, some friends, football, and Sophie.
I think I love her.
Of course, I’ve never been in love before or anything, so it’s a bit of an assumption that this is what it feels like.

Just thought I’d treat those of you that decided to wander across my Tumblr. This was a little something that I started writing and decided felt off before I continued to make it into a chapter, so I put it aside and decided to start fresh once again. This was likely in the middle of the story, but I thought it was kinda cute, haha. Let me know what you’d love to see from me here in the future!
