I’ve been teaching myself punch embroidery. It’s an old craft but it’s so relaxing (once you learn the technique). I tried using a regular embroidery hoop it didn’t work, the fabric was too loose and the thread would skip. So I bought a hoop that has a lip to make the fabric drum tight. Also, you need fabric that’s tightly thread. After getting the right tools to work with it was smooth sailing.⛵️ 🙌🏽 For practice, I drew a simple pot with leaves and traced it on the fabric. Scrolling through Instagram I saw that my Insta-friend @mlpizuorno is taking a class in punch embroidery and she is doing a wonderful job!
