1. The soul, the eversilent and completely unconscious layer

2. The heart, the inexorable feelings and emotional reactions to the world around us that we do not control but are conscious of, and

3. The mind, the final (?) emanation, that we Can control, and for the sake of our evolution and method of survival, depend upon controlling.

To reiterate the question of the sheep: why is it unnecessary for the sheep to develop a mind and further emanation in order to exist and fulfill it's soul? Because it does not rely upon the complex posession (control) of other things (e.g. the posession of a rock as a Weapon) for it's survival, and so it does not create distance between it's self and the world - ie it never needed to create the distance of Posession in order to survive, and so no further emanation was needed.

Why is posession distance? If a rock tumbles from a mountain and lays on a plain, it remains so. It's purpose, chemical structure, physiology, has remained unchanged since it landed on Earth and helped in forming a mountain. When a caveman picks it up, he sees it as part of the mountain, Yes; but he might also pick it up and inscribe in it the death of another caveman, or the hunting of another being—then the rock, to him, is also the lengthening of his own arm, his own power. Hence, although the stone is still almost completely mountain, on the universal scale, after the inscription of the caveman, it has also become part of the caveman: his teeth or hand or arm, in an infinitesimal, but actual, way.

This is the distance between human and sheep that necessitates the further emanation of energy into the Controlled mind: the human introduces it in it's Posession, it's Control of other things.

Final thought, because I'm trying to choose a train of thought but keep losing them:
