he saw that juleka and rose had been doing the same too, so luka wanted to make those bracelets with his partner as well!

the next time you came over to his place, he had already bought the materials, the strings and the beads, for the two of you to make the bracelets!

the two of you ended up spending more time just staring into each other's eyes and giggling than actually putting any beads on the strings

occasionally, luka lifts your chin without saying a word to get you to look at him, admiring your eyes and stealing a kiss from you, before focusing on the bracelets again

by the end of it, the two of you have cute bracelets of each other's eye colors, that won't just remind you of each other, but also of the fun day you two had together!

a/n: i was torn between writing an identity reveal and writing luka getting akumatized, so i did both 👉🏻👈🏻

“i'm sorry luka… there is someone else…”

after crushing on luka for so many years, you would've never expected that you'd reject his confession. especially not because of your newly developed crush on viperion, your superhero partner. but what you had least expected was that luka was so hurt by your rejection that he'd end up akumatized…

by the time you saw the akuma flying into luka's room, it was already too late. a purple glowing mask covered luka's face – a sign of people that were about to get akumatized. luka seemed to struggle, as the voice in his head offered him powers to get his revenge on you. but you could only hear luka's response to a voice you couldn't hear.

“n-no–! i… i won't hurt them… n-never–!”

luka held his head and yelled, trying to fight back against hawkmoth. usually, people didn't struggle as much. or rather, they couldn't. but luka was strong.

“l-luka… i'm sorry for what i said! please, you have to fight back! i know you can do it–!”

luka's eyes met yours, a pained expression in them. for just a moment, your words made an impact on luka. enough, to make him pull off his bracelet and toss it towards you.

“h-hawkmoth can't… g-get his hands on this! run away and keep it safe–!”

confused, you picked up the bracelet. you only needed to look at it for a moment to recognize what it was: a miraculous! you had one of your own, so of course you'd recognize it. especially since it belonged to viperion.

“you are…!”

you quickly made the connection you should've made way earlier. luka and viperion. viperion and luka. they were the same. the boy you loved before and the boy you loved now. they were one and the same.

the moment that ladybug had handed you your miraculous, you knew you had to tell your boyfriend about it, despite ladybug specifically telling you to keep your identity a secret

still, you told yourself that she didn't know luka and didn't know how trustworthy he is and how much he valued the truth!

but luka found out about your secret identity, before you even had the chance to tell him!

when he first saw you as viperion, he already had a hunch, that was only confirmed after you got unmasked and he had to rewind time

so when you visited him after the akuma attack and told him about the miraculous that you had received, luka already knew that you were the new hero in paris

in the end, he was the one who actually ended up revealing his secret identity, telling you that he had been viperion all along

you can't help but blame him a bit, for not telling you sooner, while always promising you that there were “no secrets” between you two

but after the initial shock, you can't stay mad at him for too long and the two of you begin swapping stories about how you got your miraculous and how your interactions with the other heroes went

after that day, the two of you begin to not only act like a couple as civilians, but as heroes as well, which is quite the surprise for ladybug and the other heroes!

it gets even more confusing when suddenly viperion is spotted kissing your civilian self, while you pay luka some nightly visits as a hero

the only people who ever see those interactions though are your friends and the other heroes (who luckily are the same group of people), so the confusion never gets too much

despite the occasional scolding from ladybug, the two of you continue to date as both civilians and heroes, while trying to not get those two relationships mixed up too much and create a love square that'll confuse the public

most of your dates as heroes are just the two of you sitting on a rooftop in the evening or at night

sometimes you'll have a picnic, sometimes luka will sing and play the guitar for you and sometimes you two will just talk and laugh for hours, until it gets dark

that was certainly the first time someone had asked luka that. his head shot up from his phone, glancing towards his best friend. 

"are you about to confess to me?"

luka raised an eyebrow and smiled amused, only for you to throw a pillow in his face. 

"it's this thing alya told me about!" you explained. "apparently it's some trend. you go around and ask your friends… or something like that!"

luka grabbed the pillow and sat up properly on his bed, as if to get into position to start thinking about your question. 

"i think we are in love in another universe"

he eventually concluded, still leaving you with a few answers. 

"and why do you think we are?"

luka smiled and leaned back, a smug smile on his lips. 

"because i'm sure there's a universe out there in which you love me back!"

another pillow came flying his way. 

"ha…ha… very funny, luka!"

you rolled your eyes and shook your head, before leaning back and looking down on your phone again. luka's eyes stayed on your for a moment longer though. he really did hope that a universe like that existed. perhaps, it could even be this one, if he'd finally make his feelings clear to you…

luka had been in love with you, ever since you two were little children

you had always been his best friend, his favorite person and his shadow

wherever he went, you were by his side. wherever you went, he was by your side

the two of you were a duo, ever since you were children. nothing could ever get between the two of you

you two always were in your own world, making up handshakes, secret languages or planning your future together

it was always luka and y/n. never just one of you! 

everyone around you knew that what you two had was special and that you'd likely end up dating each other one day

but until that day came, the two of you were just two best friends, pining for each other for years! 

but with each year that passed, the things that you did together as friends became more and more painful

falling asleep together while watching tv, sneaking out at night for a midnight snack, buying items that remind you of each other or having sleepovers together

the older you two got, the more it felt like those were all things you were supposed to do with a partner, not someone who's just a friend

and yet, neither of you had made the first move towards a relationship yet, too afraid to ruin what you already had

things only started to change after a rather awkward incident between the two of you – an accidental kiss! 

it was meant to be a kiss on the cheek, like you usually did to greet each other, though you slipped and your lips landed on luka's

after that, the mood became quite awkward and the two of you barely talked to each other for the next few days, unsure of what to say

though eventually luka realized that the thing he alway feared was becoming reality: ruining your friendship! changing what had always been the foundation of your relationship

no that there was no going back to how things were before, luka figured this was the moment to risk it all! 

as soon as he had realized that, he wasted no time, running towards your house in the middle of the night and knocking onto your window until you opened it for him to slip inside

now that luka had nothing to lose, he didn't waste any time. no matter what he'd say to confess to you, he knew that he could do one thing to make it clear to you how he felt for you: a kiss

while you were still confused, asking what luka was doing here, he pulled you close and gently pressed his lips onto yours to shut you up

there were a thousand things going through your head in that moment, too much to all write down

but after luka pulled away, his eyes brimming with affection for you and a nervous smile on his lips, you understood immediately

you pulled him in for another kiss and the next few minutes were spent just making out, catching up on all those years you never kissed

only afterwards did you two finally say those three little words to each other

luka ended up staying the whole night, the two of you sharing stories about when you first fell in love with each other or what you love about each other the most

though eventually, the two of you ended up passing out from exhaustion, cuddled up next to each other, just like you used to when you were little

he was familiar with clumsy people like marinette, but you were completely different

ever since the first akuma attack in paris, you had always been at the wrong place at the wrong time and gotten yourself in danger

back then the two of you didn't even know each other but he still remembers seeing your face on tv as the first civilian who got attacked by a villain

even the first time the two of you met it didn't take long for you to get attacked by another akumatized person

luka was luckily there to safe you, but you were already very familiar with what could happen if you were a bit more unlucky in those situations

luka was honestly intrigued by you

there had to be something special about you. perhaps a curse. or hawkmoth holding a grudge against you

that was the reason luka started to spend more time with you, to learn about you and try to figure you out

but in the end, he never came to a conclusion

the only thing he got out of all of this was ending up with a crush on you

it wasn't until many months later, by that time you and luka had just started to date and you were attacked by another akumatized villain, when luka finally got his answers

when you were sitting on his bed after the akuma attack that day, talking about what had happened earlier today, he mentioned your bad luck

but to luka's surprise, you didn't think it was actually bad luck, but good luck instead

when he asked how you could possibly think that, you just smiled and took his hand

"because all of those moments have led me here, with you by my side. i'd call myself lucky for that!"
