Day 10: Grandfather Clock
Like in the original story, for some weird reason, Drosselmeyer appears on top of the clock where the owl was supposed to be and this freaks Marie out cuz she doesn't know what's going on! (Anybody remember that?)
Now in the ballet based off what I saw on December 4th, Drosselmeyer had his face on where the face of the grandfather clock should be. And yes, he made the grandfather clock all by himself! (I saw the Los Angeles Ballet version)
You wanna guess which one I was inspired by?
BOTH!
Annabella gets the grandfather clock for free cuz y'know her uncle gave it to her, and during midnight she tries to take a sip of her peppermint hot chocolate until Drosselmeyer's face appears on the clock and this freaks her out. So, moral of this submission: Don't get grandfather clocks from magical uncles of yours.
