I can’t overstate how meaningful this opportunity was to me. thank you to everyone who made these shows so special, and especially to Cosmo Sheldrake, both for the chance to open and for paving the way for a bird-obsessed artist like me
Just did a quick google of Cosmo Sheldrake out of curiosity and this man is literally from the most whimsical sounding family. First of all the name Cosmo is insane, and the surname Sheldrake equally so. His twin brother- a mycologist of course- is called MERLIN. And his father is a "parapsychologist" which sounds like a lot of unscientific nonsense but also incredibly whimsical and I have to respect it as a career choice. His mother is a voice coach and I was like "oh that's kind of dull I guess" but then I discovered she's also a "family constellations therapist" which again seems kind of unscientific but again I respect it for its whimsy.
I'm not one to look too deeply into the people whose music I listen to because I really don't care but suddenly Mr Sheldrake's unique style makes a LOT of sense.
