Died, Forgotten, sound like the end or perhaps it’s another beginning for our captains Once a great gunslinger, his fire burned through the hardest metal a ship can have. He lead those who seek for fame and glory. That’s just until his own pride the betrayed him, it was to late to realize his most trusted fighters could never have enough power, he didn’t have enough ambition to lead them. He was forsaken the way he can never return. Left out of space, his frozen body was no more than a floating space rock, no one ever gonna remember him. However, the corpses got it another chance. With a frozen heart, he stripped away the unneeded flesh and readied to accept his chance, not only to come back, but also to understand what he must become. Now he ready to come back. He will gather his allies, he will claim his pride one again. Once there was a race of space nomads. Their life was harsh since supplies were scarce and universe unforgiving. But they were able to get by and live happily and peacefully. Until the day when systems of their ship shut down for a few minutes. It was enough for a piece of unknown tool to get into engine and the whole ship exploded when system got back online.
Laast was the only one that survived the terrible accident. He was saved by alien ship. These people nurtured him back to health and replaced his missing limbs with high-tech prosthetics. Despite Laast being alive he was last of his kind. Only things left were his memories and the strange tool that cause all of it. It had to belong to someone. And he will find out to whom and avenge his people.
Laast traveled the universe using his augmentations to his advantage. He became feared pirate. But not for his lust of power or wealth. His gaze was set to one goal only. To find the owner of the tool and slay them.
When he finally discovered home planet of the careless murderers of his race he begun to terrorize any and all space explorers coming from the blue planet below. No human was safe in the space. Because it was NASA's screwdriver that cost him his whole race.
For Laast it became a sport. Once in a while he returns and kills an astronaut or two and make trophies of their helmets, patches or personal belongings. His hat is made out of helmet glass of one unlucky explorer (with egraved Laast emblem) and breathing pipes of dozens equally unlucky humans. And needlework is his hobby. After each hunt he always takes time and carefully sew together new patches to his belts. Yeah, life is good (when one has enemies to kill and embroidery to make).
