The madame arrived at the venue wearing a black chiffon jumpsuit with open sides and train from Maison Margiela’s Resort 2011 collection.

Her black lace Ceylon bra is signed by Cosabella. 

The Italian-American supernova also donned a pair of Chanel’s 02464 shades in black.

Custom black leather Unicorn ankle boots by Noritaka Tatehana completed the look.

The first Mugler look, Gaga walked down the catwalk in, comprised a custom sheer mesh catsuit with body-contouring velvet appliqués and exposed zipper on the back, sheer opera-length gloves, and black latex bra plus tight pencil skirt done by Atsuko Kudo (who crafted all latex pieces for the collection).

...while her domed strass crystal necklace is an unsigned vintage piece.

The thigh-high coated and cracked stretch leather platform boots were done by Mugler for our girl, in collaboration with young designer Nasir Mazhar.

Look no. 2: a second-skin long-sleeved white mesh dress with circular cut-outs on the shoulders and floor-length crepe skirt, boned rubber bustier with satinated cups.

Her shoulder sculpture, she wore in the above pictured backstage shot, was created by Rein Vollenga, who did all the wearable sculptures for the show.

Another custom Franc Fernandez hat. This time, a tilted, oversized saucer-like hat inspired by chinoiserie fashion.

Custom white leather Noritaka Tahena Lady Vase boots elevated the look.

The looong pointy almond nail tips were Aya Fukuda’s. The embellishment was legendary nail stylist Marian Newman‘s Minx for Mugler magic.

Nicola Formichetti, with whom Marian has worked frequently, asked her to do the nail art for his very first Mugler show.

He wanted a nail form that was animalistic and cat-claw like, yet elegant and requested two or three types of matte noir, matte nuit, matte olive, matte peach, matte Wedgewood-blue and electric-blue to match the tonality of the various ensembles specific to each model. Some models used a sheer matte as well.

Marian proposed they utilize Minx for the nail fashion and “… once Nicola made his final decision about which Minx to use, we then had to apply them to the curved forms which was extremely easy since Minx can be applied to any shape,” Marian explained me. “Minx Professional has revitalized the world of nail fashion and was the perfect choice to represent the future of nails in the fashion industry.”

The creation of the nails was completed during the show, as was the installation onto the models’ fingertips or, in some cases, onto the tips of their gloves.

Gaga wore long, pointed stiletto nails with matte black Minx with a “trashed” uneven finish achieved by stretching the Minx over the free edge of the nail and twisting.

For the after party at the Maxim restaurant, Gaga went for a look phresh off the runway.
