Personally, I would have preferred a book with just these two kaiju going at it. But since we didn't get that, I did enjoy the tongue-in-cheek tone throughout the story (although some of the humorous dialogue got repetitive).

Avengers #26 (2014)
95. "Kyrie"
(Silver Surfer: Requiem # 1; July 2007)
RATING: 8 🦋 Butterfly Generations out of 10
This lives up to its name. I've always liked Silver Surfer as a concept and power set, but I've never really been a fan of Norrin Radd the individual. After this got a good laugh out the way at the front, it was just a very solemn and beautifully conveyed condensed story of Norrin's life.
Honestly the art in this is very gorgeous and sets the mood so well. I was not expecting this book to hit me this emotionally whatsoever!
Not exactly the most happy choice but the cover grabbed me from all the way across an antique store today.
FAVORITE: Reed mixing comfort and business; the art style that can convey the weight of the story without needing text
LEAST FAVORITE: The silver is a suit and not some power cosmic shenanigans? How did I not know that?
The final issue of Ultimate Spider-Man looks epic!
