What should I do with them? Like after we offer them something on the altar, what should I do with it? Do we throw it away after a few days? Do we bury it? Do we leave it there? I’m sorry for being ignorant

Hello Anon! Not ignorant at all! I appreciate you asking.

Offerings, and what to do with them after, will vary from deity to deity. Some prefer that you eat them afterwards, some will request you bury it, some request them poured onto the earth, etc. Do some research and when in doubt, ask your deity! My offerings are usually left until spoiled (if they spoil) and then properly disposed. However, I also work with a lot of chthonic deities so that is common for them.

If you don't get a straight answer, when you make the offering, make it clear that you'll only leave it out for a short time before either consuming it yourself, tossing it, etc.

I know for Heathens and Norse practitioners it's common to both consume the offering and not consume it!

Basically, ask your deity what they would prefer and/or just make sure to state your intention clearly when offering!

Hi Anon, I personally do not own a Ouija board so I am a bit unsure if there is a more proper way to store them. I suppose, when it doubt, store it in its original box/container?

Getting your friend a witchy gift is a lovely and thoughtful idea! It would really all depend on their practice and how they go about it. Are they a green witch who enjoys plants? Perhaps gift them one to add to their existing collection. Do they enjoy crystals or herbs? You can always add on to their collection by looking into correspondences and gifting them that way. Is there something they've always wanted: a pretty pendulum, a new set of runes, a new tarot deck? See what kind of information you can get out of them and try not to get duplicates!

Cleansing a Tarot deck is very easy, in my opinion, and there are different methods!

My favorite would happen to be sound cleansing. Take a bell or some dangly charms that make a nice noise and then create that noise around the deck, visualizing that the sound is clearing away the negativity of the deck.
