If you ever end up crying in public, for whatever reason, he’s the one shielding you dramatically, whispering jokes to distract you, or holding your hand until your tears stop. All while teasing you for being so emotional—even though he secretly loves being your safe space.

You’re also the type to get teary-eyed over compliments. If Martin says something as simple as “you did a good job” in the most casual tone, your eyes instantly well up. He panics every single time, even though this happens often. “Oh my god—don’t cry, I wasn’t being mean this time!!” he blurts, never realizing those tears come from how rare it is to hear those words from your own family.

He records your tantrum-filled breakdowns (the cute ones) just to tease you later. “Look at my little crybaby,” he grins, while you’re half crying, half laughing, trying to snatch his phone away so he’ll stop recording.

You’re sensitive to tone, and Martin knows it well. Even if his voice sounds the slightest bit annoyed, you immediately ask, “Are you mad at me??” with watery eyes, like you can’t believe your safe space could ever be upset with you. He only sighs before dragging you into a headlock hug, reassuring, “You’re such an overthinker, god. But no, I’m not mad at you.” Even as you sniffle against his chest.

If you cry over a sad tiktok or drama while he’s at your place, he’ll pretend to be annoyed. “You’re crying AGAIN?” But then you explain what happened in the story, and suddenly his own eyes are tearing up. Of course, he brushes it off, claiming he’s just a great actor and you’re gullible enough to believe it.

You’re terrible at staying mad. Whenever he actually does push it too far, all it takes is him showing up with snacks or your favorite drink, setting it down in front of you like a peace offering. Works every time.

Even when you’re mad at him for something serious, your “punishment” is ignoring his texts for exactly fifteen minutes before caving. Martin sets a timer every time, and like clockwork, the moment it stops, your name lights up his phone with a new message.

Sometimes he purposely says the most outrageous things just to rile you up. “Yeah, you’re definitely the least funny in our group.” You just stare at him, wide-eyed, already on the verge of tears instead of firing back. That’s when he scrambles to fix it. “I’M KIDDING. YOU’RE HILARIOUS. YOU’RE LITERALLY MY FAVORITE PERSON, OKAY?” But the damage is done—you’re already sobbing into your hands, and all he can do is watch the chaos he created.

Martin has one unspoken rule: only he gets to make fun of you. The second someone else crosses a line and upsets you, he’s stepping in, shutting them down without hesitation. He’ll toss you a quick, “Don’t listen to them, crybaby,” slipping in that last little tease even as he defends you.
