Finally, after a cramped and hot drive to the location, all of you took a step out of by one. Jiana let out a dramatic groan, yanking the straps of her purse from underneath Ohyul, earning a scowl from him. "Jeez, what's got your panties in a bunch.."
Jiana scoffed, whacking him on the arm and turning back to you again and loops arms, the boys standing on either side of you. James audibly sighs, looking up at the house.
The lights inside could be seen from where they stood. It was an orange-y hue with shadows of people running around and doing whatever. The sound of Bang Bang Bang could be heard faintly, but the little moment was interuptted by Maki walking forward.
"Jeeeeez, man? What is this, a coming of age 2000's movie? Can we get a move on?" he tossed up his arms and you all followed with a few eye rolls.
Inside was even more than you all expected.
There was much more than a few people, but not enough to be suffocating. The music was louder inside, just enough to where you had to raise your voice for someone to hear you.
You looked to your side, expecting your friends to be there just as they were a couple seconds ago, but all you were met with was Jianas' apologetic expression as she was dragged away to the game room by Maki.

You were about to turn around and find somewhere to sit, but the first step you took you stepped right into what felt like a tree.
The tree's branches reached out to steady you, a small laugh leaving its lips. "You good?"
You lifted your head, eyes meeting his. Not a tree. Not even close. (well, maybe a little close)
"I'm.. Yn. Good. Im good."
"Oh? Yn.. well, im glad you're good, Im martin." He laughed, earning an embarrassed flush to your cheeks.
His hands lingered on your arms before nodding slowly and dropping them, sliding them into the pockets of his washed jeans.
"Well.. I don't think I've seen you before. But, I like what I see right now, soo.."

"I do.. too? Is this flirting?" You laughed a little, looking around the room to break eye contact. "Im guessing this is your place? Nice party, by the way."
"'Preciate that, man- girl? Yn." He chuckled a little under his breath, rubbing the back of his head and dropping his head a little when yo neck hurt kinda.
You laughed a little, a genuine one that you tried to hold back. You quickly cleared your throat, a cloud of awkwardness swarming you before you blurted out.
"Wanna dance?" A bit cliche, but you tried. After he agreed with a small shrug, you walked out to where everyone else was, his hands sliding around your waist and yours on his chest.
It felt a bit taboo. Hence, Ryul is still here somewhere, but you couldn't bring yourself to care. What even were you guys?
Slowly, the conversations flowed easier, his thumb absentmindedly rubbing slow circles on your hip. Eyes half lidded as he stared down at you. You wanted about whatever came to mind, feeling comfortable. Even enough so that you spoke about your relationship with Ryul. bit toom him aback a little, but hearing how he allegedly treated you he reeled himself back in and pushed away any doubts.
Somewhere in the conversation, your words slowed, grips tightening.
Martin's gaze dropped down to your lips a moment, his hands pulling you just a tad closer.
You had stopped talking by now, the air thickening around the both of you as he leaned down towards your lips. It felt so wrong, but you didn't bother moving away.
Your lips brushed his, fingers digging into thr fabric of his shirt. Before you could settle into the kiss, a voice jolted your apart, your hands dropped to your sides.
"No fucking way, bro." Ryul stood in front of the both of you, fists clenching and unclenching.

JAMES CHAO ✧ CABIN 11 HERMES
james is usually the first one to laugh when things go wrong, then immediately try to help fix the problem.
somehow knows everyone's gossip...due to sessions with the Aphrodite cabin.
always has a deck of mythomagic cards or playing cards in his pocket and somehow convinces younger campers to gamble their dessert. unfortunately for the kids, he somehow always wins.
during campfire singalongs, he always requests songs from different musicals. impressively, he knows ALL the lyrics from hamilton and legally blonde.
new campers often mistake him as a son of Apollo with his infectious laugh that can be heard across the pavilion after causing some misfit.
james who says, "relax. it's capture the flag, not the titan war."…five minutes before doing something incredibly reckless.
sips his chalice obnoxiously loud during counselor meetings, being extra deliberate when there's high tension among the counselors. he purposefully overreacts until the other counselors give up and he gets his way.
KIM JUHOON ✧ CABIN 10 APHRODITE
head of the welcoming committee that was formed after the war for new campers, he was the top pick. unanimously voted by the cabin counselors and Chiron.
his cabin is lively, colorful, and always buzzing with conversation and juhoon somehow evens out the cabin with his quiet nature. his siblings instinctively seek him out when they need to vent.
juhoon is ridiculously competitive when playing sports. the sweet smile disappears the moment the game starts. lesson learned to the other campers who underestimate a child of Aphrodite.
notices the little things. keonho's favorite dessert, louis speaks french when he misses home, how seonghyeon and woojin often do projects together, ryul making sure younger campers are safe, and a lot more.
has the most unique oddest fashion taste among his siblings but somehow makes the outfit work. it doesn't matter if something was "so last season", juhoon gives it life when he wears it.
he enjoys decorating the cabin for every season, but not because it has to look perfect. he likes making it feel like home for the younger campers.
he has a gentle way of defusing awkward moments. like that one time his sibling confessed to a painfully oblivious daughter of Demeter, juhoon had to carefully save the interaction and his poor sibling.
MARTIN EDWARDS ✧ CABIN 7 APOLLO
his siblings would say that martin smiles through everything. well, they're mostly correct. except of course during capture the flag, then he's terrifyingly focused.
the archery range feels like home. somedays, he'll stay until ohyul and chiron practically orders him inside.
he's awake before sunrise, stretching near the archery range while the first rays of sunlight spill over the hills. the younger Apollo kids swear he somehow wakes up with the sun.
he's always humming a tune. not even that loud, just enough that people nearby relax unconsciously.
martin and james have this weird arrangement. when james gets into trouble, martin fixes whatever minor injuries he gets. in return, stolen cans of redbull or matcha flavored sweets are found on martin's bed.
ohyul and him are a few of Apollo's kids who are equally respected in both the infirmary and the arena. can patch up your shoulder an hour ago then beat you in archery in the next.
campfire singalongs are where he shines—no, like he literally shines. maybe its got something to do with being the son of the sun god but despite the night, hand him an instrument and martin is glowing in his element. every creature would stop to listen, even Mr. D would stay a second longer.
EOM SEONGHYEON ✧ CABIN 6 ATHENA
doesn't entirely mind that he isn't the most intelligent among his siblings (annabeth already has that pressure, he says). rather he pours his brain and creativity in another avenue.
almost always has a notebook tucked under his arm. writes down notes, reminders, sketches, and other things that spark his mind.
seonghyeon ADORES the library his godly mother placed in their cabin. there was an era in his life that he spent so much time there that the other Athena kids decided to give him a designated spot.
would never admit it but he secretly enjoys campfire nights. he pretends he's there for "group morale." the truth is, he likes watching everyone have these moments of just being kids.
tends to overprepare for quests; extra rope, extra nectar, extra maps. he has tons of back up plans and an additional small bag in case of disaster.
despite being analytical, he's surprisingly patient with his younger siblings. he never makes them feel stupid for asking questions, instead he sits with them and takes his time to explain.
he has a habit of solving problems while pacing. its like he has to move for his brain to make sense of things. if campers see seonghyeon walking circles around the pavilion with his arms crossed, they know he's trying to figure something out. nobody dares to interrupt, except maybe keonho.
AHN KEONHO ✧ CABIN 3 POSEIDON
he LOVES sea creatures with childlike enthusiasm. convinced that every creature is his friend. campers have caught him crouching by the lake talking to turtles (he dubbed them leo, donny, raph, mikey).
he treats the camp's lake like it's his backyard. just jumps in fully clothed whenever he wants.
younger campers adore him because he actually plays with them. water balloon fights, tag, building sand castles by the beach. keonho is usually having just as much fun as they are.
he tries teaching fishes tricks. "sit!", "roll over!", "fin!". yeah, nobody has the heart to explain that's not how fish work.
absolutely enjoys splashing people. especially seonghyeon, james and ryul. he finds them fun to tease.
quite the case of being nosy. has this weird gut feeling whenever people are whispering and randomly pops up near them. sometimes he stays underwater for too long because he's listening to the sea creatures gossip.
despite being playful, he's incredibly dependable in emergencies. the second someone falls into the water, jokes disappear. he's already jumping and warping the body of water.
KWON OHYUL ✧ CABIN 7 APOLLO
definitely mastered braiding hair because his sisters kept asking. now, all the little ones would go to him to have their hair fixed before training.
unlike martin, who finds peace in the quiet of sunrise, ohyul comes alive when camp is bustling. he likes hearing conversations overlap, swords clashing in the distance, and the constant energy of the camp.
very expressive in general, especially during training. if he lands a difficult shot, he'll grin. if he misses, everyone knows exactly how offended he is (starts accusing the target of moving).
he's competitive with martin, though neither of them admits it. everything somehow turns into some game or bet, who healed more this week, how many bullseye can you hit consecutively, and etc.
his laugh carries across camp. some campers claim they know exactly where ohyul is without looking because they can hear him before they see him.
he loves sunrises but rarely wakes up early enough to see them. at the rare chance he does wake up, he uses it to relax before the day goes hectic.
as one of the older campers, he's incredibly proud of cabin seven. whenever his siblings doubt themselves, he never gets tired of cheering them up.
KIM RYUL ✧ CABIN 13 HADES
he has an excellent memory for names. months after meeting someone, he'll greet them first. people never expect it.
james and ohyul always find ways to drag him to any social event. he complains at first then somehow ends up enjoying himself.
surprisingly the funniest. he doesn't let the whole son of the underworld really ruin his weird sense of humor. though he seems to be always brooding, he knows how to time a joke.
when a younger camper has nightmares, ryul is one of the first older campers they'll seek out. he summons a skeleton and comically fights it to make the kids feel better.
people sometimes come up to him to ask scary questions, purely out of curiosity. ryul sometimes give half of the truth to not totally scare them, especially kids asking about ghosts following him.
is a total greek mythology nerd!!! his knowledge can rival an child of Athena. if there was a ranking, he might be top 5 on people who knows a lot about the myths and stories.
he isn't intimidating on purpose, he tries not to be at least. ryul simply has a calm expression that makes younger campers hesitate. but the moment they actually talk to him, they realize he's gentle and funny, then becomes their favorite.
JUNG WOOJIN ✧ CABIN 9 HEPHAESTUS
when he doesn't talk much while he works, it means he's working on something really big. his siblings learned that his silence doesn't mean that he's irritated or mad, it shows how he's really focused.
his hands are always covered in tiny burns and calluses. he never notices anymore. but in chance that he crosses paths with ohyul or martin, his small injuries seem to feel better.
woojin is incredibly patient, however he loves teasing. he'd joke that his sibling's creation looks like a penguin but stays until the evening to guide them into shaping it to look better.
occasionally builds little wooden toys for the youngest campers. he claims they were just for practice projects. nobody really believes him.
his siblings know he's stressed when he starts taking apart perfectly functional gadgets just to rebuild them. they let him be but check up on him from time to time.
hates when resources are wasted so he created a sort of bin near the forge for the other campers to but their junk and scraps in a proper manner. his siblings always find some kind of treasure there on a random wednesday.
loves creating meaningful and useful items for his friends from the other cabins. oh, keonho mentioned he needed a shelf for his rock collection? woojin is on it. james needs a very specific something for a prank? ok, just don't tell Chiron it was him.
LOUIS JOURDAIN ✧ CABIN 14 IRIS
half the camp still doesn't know how to actually angle things to find the rainbow correctly for an Iris message. so they ask louis because he knows and finds it every time.
he laughs easily. whenever james and ryul blurt, crack a joke or make a funny face, his face turns nearly full red.
louis loves giving tours to new campers. but by the end of the day, half the information he tells are accurate. the other half was james whispering fake facts behind him. something about this tree being haunted (a path he avoids now).
always keeps a small pouch of spare drachmas just in case someone needs to IM home or a friend. he also does this to feel closer with his mom.
he's famous for making weird little nicknames for everyone, even Ares children. they pretend to hate it but it never actually bothers them.
loves everything about mythomagic, even before he learned about his godly half. he genuinely geeks out when his order comes to the camp and he gets a figurine he's been wanting for so long.
he has a terrible poker face because he's incredibly expressive. if louis is trying to hide a secret, his face reveals it immediately. juhoon has started reading his expressions instead of waiting for answers.
