ICPC summons NIPC board over corruption allegation
Some members of the governing board of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) have been invited by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning over alleged corrupt practices. The commission said the invitation was in connection with an alleged violation of the provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000. The invitation was contained in a letter dated December, 16, 2019, was signed by the ICPC acting Director of Investigation, Hassan Mohammed. According to the letter, those invited include the Board Chairman, Babangida Nguroje and other eight members of the board.
