The For Starters crew in college and beyond?
- Dan Freeman: Dan’s major was Forensics with a minor in Political Science. She went on to Law School at Nova State, giving up going to her dream school just to remain back at Nova with the girls.
She successfully graduated from Nova State’s law program a semester early. She studied Criminal and Family law, and decided to focus on the family portion of things as she kick started her career. Later, she found herself leaning towards joining the F.B.I. She wanted to be apart of a Forensics team of some sort, so she pretty much put her law side on the backburner for the remainder of her career.
- Corrie White: Corrie never really knew what she wanted to do, especially coming into college. At the end of her freshman year she was told she’d have to decide on something so she chose Psychology. She and Dan would often have crazy conversations about serial killer minds in the locker room.
She would have wanted to go on to have been a Sports Psychologist, probably working alongside Hayden on certain articles. Or perhaps even with Dan, studying how criminal’s brains worked.
- Amanda Jackson : Jax’s father was a veterinarian, and her mother was a nurse. So, she was always determined to follow in their footsteps somewhat. Jax went into school in Nursing, but after taking a few classes she challenged herself more and changed to a Pre-Med major.
She got to graduate school, at Nova State’s local Teaching Hospital, and decided that her passion was with children. She decided to become a pediatrician, and eventually got onto a Research Team at St. Jude’s, where she spent the rest of her working life.
- Hayden Cole “Sullivan” : Hay’s major was Sports Broadcasting and Journalism, but immediately after graduation from school she was drafted by the NC Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League. She also got her debut on the national team, and worked as a Nike ambassador for a while thereafter. She eventually left her club after a season to go re-establish the NWSL team in Boston. She led the team to the championship that year.
She played for about eight years at retired, focusing on broadcasting. She now is a broadcaster at ESPN, focusing primarily on women’s events. In her thirties she wrote a book titled “For Starters” about her college career in honor of Corrie White and the team’s adventures. Her time in the limelight never really died down, and I suppose she loved it that way.
- Jake Sullivan : Jake double-majored in Sports Psychology and Physical Therapy. He went to P.T. school in North Carolina after ungrad at Nova State--making sure to stay close to Hayden. He and Hayden’s success as a couple in the sport’s world really opened up his Physical Therapy and Sports Psychology abilities to the world.
He was able to create his own business, running his own clinic and facilities. By thirty-three he was the most sought-after therapist for both the physical and mental aspects of an athlete and works alongside all the major/professional teams in Boston (where he and Hayden settled down), and his hometown.
He got to live out his childhood dream of working with both the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox. However, he has a new favorite professional sports team in Boston: the Boston Breakers women’s soccer team, where Hayden plays.
- Meredith Cole “Freeman” : Meredith majored in music while in college, she finally let her self-consciousness go to chase her dream of being a musician. She started a YouTube channel in her sophomore year of college, and grew as a musician and influencer through the platform, she also began doing guitar lessons via videos.
After she graduated, she decided to become a music professor at a college by Dan’s law firm. Eventually, she became one of the school’s most endeared professors and helped to grow the school in the musical arts. Even after rekindling with Hayden for so many years, people still don’t believe they’re sisters.
