That one friend who likes Splatoon too much (hi that's me!!!!!!)
Bonus AviSkull below for the 5 people who care LMAO
Army: First you gotta learn, then remove the L!
Skull: Larn?
Mask: You on something? Remove the L from learn = earn.. where on earth did you get larn??
Aloha: Ayo bro, good luck in life! I don't think you're gonna make it far tbh!
I think it’s super interesting when people kinda brush off coroika as one of those oh the protags are overpowered and never lose kinda stories when really if you take a step back and take everything that’s happened into account, it’s actually not super clear who the strongest is?
People uuuusually rank it based on who’s won against team blue the most but I don’t think that’s entirely reliable because
And hell! Army has a whopping FIVE WINS against them in a more recent chapter??
(Which I get mitsuami was a part of their team for this, but it’s still noteworthy!)
Like I’ll use skull for example, skull has won against team blue twice! But team blue still defeated him in a match, didn’t they? Or the s4 for example, they won against vintage in the newest arc, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re stronger, iirc this is our only time seeing vintage play turf so basing his overall strength compared to them on one battle is a little funny! Like they beat vintage in turf war but his forte is ranked. And they lost against the king of turf.
Like since I started this book I was always confused on why they emphasized the ranks when they were only playing turf, because then wouldn’t the first thought be “well of course they lost, they’re better at ranked!” But they still lost against team blue in the ranked arc (team blue had emperor on their team and s4 had rider but rider is still s+ and we’ve never seen emperors rank so…) and THEN if we’re talking about ranking the s4 in itself THEN-
Im not getting into anymore of this u get my point
Also it’s hard to get an actually accurate answer because we don’t see every character/team in consistent matches aside from the blue team…
ALL IN ALL!!!
I just think trying to put a label on which team/character is the strongest or trying to say one team/character is definitively stronger than another kinda defeats a key part of the book, being that your titles, wins, and losses don’t really define your strength, and that there’s always room for improvement. Notoriously strong teams can lose against notoriously weak/unexperienced/silly teams and you shouldn’t discredit people because of their rep.
And I also think it defeats the fact that this is emphasized throughout the book by showing certain characters in different modes, on different teams, and their wins and losses.
Okay baiiii 😚😚😚🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 (this is s5⬇️)
