A 12 year old girl, going down to street for colour pencils, was pinned on the ground by police. It happens today in Hong Kong. An innocent girl was being attacked, while some people believe that she "has it coming" for walking in the streets with ongoing protest. If this is how people we entrust to keep us save behave, I fear for HK's future. No one, especially not a child, deserves to be treated as animal. This brutality exists. Innocent people are bleeding for crimes they didn't commit. As the younger generation of Hong Konger, I hope everyone can stand with us and support us.
While I do believe that police brutality is a problem, we still need police officers to help deal with potentially dangerous situations. Perhaps instead of defunding the police, which may lead to resentment from the officers that are also against police brutality, we entirely reform the police system instead.

Why are cops allowed to do this, over and over with no consequences? Losing your job over this isn't even like a slap on the wrist!
These are the kind of people who should get the death penalty, and I am not even a fan of the death penalty. They should have what they did happen to them.
It is this, cops getting to play around doing whatever the f*** they want, or nazi shitheads shooting people (black people) going out for a run.
And then I see people caring and getting angry but nothing really gets fixed! It is hell.
Makes me happy that I live far far away, but I honestly feel so sad, angry and so much emotions around this, know that you are seen by the outside world. I have seen some norwegians writing around this petition, and everyone is angry at this. Know that you are not alone, even if we are far away. And if I did live there I would call the congressmen in question, I saw it written somewhere, can't find it now. If anyone got it do spread it. Help in any way you can, even if it feels like a too much of a small gesture.
I may be saying something controversial here, but I feel like everyone should know:
Not every cop is bad.
Just like how not all men are sexist.
Or how not all muslims are terrorists.
It's only because the cops that are the abusive racist murderers are the ones getting the spotlight and the people who think that all cops are saviors praise their actions while ignoring the people who call out the bullshit.
So for those who are policemen, shut the fuck up with the "not all cops are bad" spiel and fucking prove it with your actions.

Police Brutality isnt just about killing innocent black people. Its also about them shooting your dogs, taking your things, arresting you without giving you a reason, pushing you to the ground when you're in their way, chucking tear gas into a crowd of innocent protestors.
