Crean en Espaรฑa, por primera vez, una coordinadora nacional de lucha contra el antisemitismo
๐ช๐ธ El 14 de noviembre de 2024, se creรณ en Espaรฑa la primera Coordinadora Nacional de Lucha contra el Antisemitismo, una iniciativa de mรกs de un centenar de grupos y organizaciones que buscan combatir el aumento del antisemitismo tras el ataque terrorista de Hamรกs el 7 de octubre de 2023. La Coordinadora fue impulsada por organizaciones como el Movimiento contra la Intolerancia y el Observatorio contra el Antisemitismo, con el apoyo de diferentes colectivos judรญos y no judรญos. La propuesta busca promover una respuesta coordinada y basada en los derechos humanos y la legalidad democrรกtica. La creaciรณn de esta plataforma es una respuesta a la falta de acciรณn efectiva del gobierno de Pedro Sรกnchez, que no ha logrado frenar el creciente antisemitismo, especialmente en sectores de la izquierda polรญtica. La Coordinadora se compromete a luchar contra el antisemitismo global y promover un enfoque basado en los principios de la Declaraciรณn IHRA (Alianza Internacional para el Recuerdo del Holocausto). Ademรกs, solicitarรก al gobierno un plan efectivo contra el antisemitismo y reforzar la legalidad frente a esta problemรกtica. El acto inaugural se celebrรณ en Madrid, con la participaciรณn de diversas organizaciones no judรญas, incluidas asociaciones pro-Israel y grupos interreligiosos. Aunque la Federaciรณn de Comunidades Judรญas de Espaรฑa (FCJE) apoya la iniciativa, permanece al margen de la Coordinadora. ๐บ๐ธ On November 14, 2024, Spain created its first National Coordinator to Fight Anti-Semitism, an initiative led by over one hundred groups and organizations that aim to tackle the rise of anti-Semitism following the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The Coordinator was promoted by organizations like the Movement Against Intolerance and the Anti-Semitism Observatory, with support from both Jewish and non-Jewish groups. The initiative seeks to promote a coordinated response based on human rights and democratic legality. The creation of this platform is a response to the lack of effective action by Pedro Sรกnchez's government, which has failed to curb the growing anti-Semitism, particularly in left-wing political sectors. The Coordinator commits to fighting global anti-Semitism and promoting an approach based on the principles of the IHRA Declaration (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance). Additionally, it will urge the government to implement an effective anti-Semitism plan and strengthen legality in the fight against this issue. The inaugural event took place in Madrid, with participation from various non-Jewish organizations, including pro-Israel associations and interfaith groups. While the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain (FCJE) supports the initiative, it remains outside the Coordinator. Spain, despite having around 45,000 Jews, remains one of the most critical countries of Israel in Europe, and the government's persistent criticism has fostered an intellectual atmosphere of anti-Semitism, often disguised under anti-Zionism.
