Blog post 2 asks what are you interested in writing about for the research project and why are you interested in this topic? I am interested in writing about game shows specifically Family Feud! I would love to know how they write for the show! I would love to know how long it takes to write a potential script and if they actually stick to it or do improv? What I really want to know about is how they prevent contestants from cheating on Family Feud! Do they make them go outside or what do they do? I wonder how they come up with the questions to ask the contestants? Do they repeat questions to different families? Do they ever reject families that apply? I wonder how they determine which answers to display on the board and how to simplify the wording so it will fit on the board? I also wonder how they first came up with the rules? I wonder how they came up with the idea of fast money and why they give away 20 thousand dollars? I am interested in this topic because my whole life I have watched game show network! I have always loved watching Family Feud and guessing before the contestants to see how many I can get right! This was the one show that I would always watch with my Nana when she was alive! This was the show I could guarantee would be on when I would stay the night at her house so still watching it until today is so sentimental to me!

I am writing a summary-response essay to respond to Kristen di Gennaro’s essay called “SAT Scores are Useful For Placing Students in Writing Courses.” I have come a long way since the beginning of this project. I like that my topic came to me after talking with my teacher but now I finished writing that thought and I can not get anything else to flow to finish the paper. The paper has to be 3-5 pages and I am at one and three quarters. I can not think of anything else to finish the other page and a quarter. I am definitely struggling to finish this paper but I think I have one more idea that I need to think about and try to see if that gets me anywhere. This idea is to add a little bit of my personal experience. I am going to write about how I always had accommodations in high school to give me longer time on tests. I have always read passages slow and did not understand it the first time so I always had to go back and read it again. With that I did not have enough time to read and answer all the questions on the SAT with the time restriction. One thing that I was super happy about was that I did not have to write an introduction! Instead we put a summary of the essay we are responding to as our introduction. One thing that I am not looking forward to is writing the conclusion because guess what, I suck at writing introductions AND conclusions.
