Apparently, somewhere in my workshop is a secret clubhouse where 281 obnoxious pencils are hiding from me, causing me to lose my temper and yell bad words whenever I try to find the pencil I used ONLY 30 SECONDS BEFORE!! That’s why I’m very excited about this nifty little gadget, which I found at #HomeDepot for under $3. (The manufacturer calls it the “Pencil Pull XL”, but I call it the “Pencil Prison.”). After 5 days of captivity, the attached pencil still hasn’t escaped to join his compadres in the secret clubhouse, which means I haven’t yelled a single bad word for almost a week—except on Saturday, when the brand new blade on my table saw somehow managed to find two large nails buried deep inside a reclaimed 2x6.
