Crib notes style. Probably will edit later.

When they cry: a story about facial expressions. It’s weirdly fascinating. Spoilers ahead. I also can’t remember the exact plot, it got in depth in the anime fashion, so I’ll wiki it later to correct the synopsis etc. The characters are trapped in a time loop where they repeat the same few weeks again and again that inexplicably ends in a small group of friends getting murdered or murdering each other. The first half of the story is straightforward horror/mystery, the second half of the story introduces the literal magic as the cast kind of starts to buckle down and even work together and share information. It works because the places where the plot is grounded in reality, imo, how the characters have to research and learn to talk to people who won’t talk to them, and how each “chapter” replays events from a different perspective character. It’s kind of fun! Slasher anime. Different people dying every time. Does a good job of being confusing. I could not read the VN but I ran through the manga

[im just going out on a limb and inserting another hc of mine in and making him transmasc... and he doesnt know it pre-sburb. in this timeline, the troblerone was used to make dave canon] also, dave definitely loves cats here, and davesprite is probably half jaspers and half dave. dave probably also likes playing violin a little bit, but enjoys remixing the sounds with some basic equipment. Also... dave probably draws Sweet Sis and Hella Jess but in a less on-purposely shitty manner as sbahj. his interest in dead stuff is probably more talked about as well)

jade harley egbert /// ectoBiologist [EB] (formerly growlingTheorist [GT] /// witch of space breath (extra note! her personality is a little more... how would i put it? sheltered? cautious? shes definitely more hesitant to tell people shes a furry. jade's definitely more of a movie buff, and enjoys animated movies such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Lady and the Tramp, The Secret of NIMH (1982), All Dogs go to Heaven (1989), and Oliver and Company (1988) (i cant understate how much i wanted to add Alpha and Omega here but sadly thats a 2010 title :,<<). she probably begged dadbert for a dog of some kind but sadly was denied for whatever reason)
