Mom's Classic Stuffed Cabbage Rolls are a comforting and hearty meal that's perfect for family dinners or gatherings. Tender cabbage leaves are filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, rice, and spices, then baked to perfection in a tangy tomato sauce.
Ingredients: 1 large head cabbage. 1 pound ground beef. 1 cup cooked rice. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes. 1 can 8 ounces tomato sauce. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Warm up a big pot of water. Taking care, take out the core of the cabbage and put the whole head in the boiling water. After 5 minutes, take it out of the water and let it cool down a bit. Put cooked rice, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix the ground beef in there. Mix everything together well. Separate the cabbage leaves slowly so as not to tear them. Put some of the beef mixture on each cabbage leaf, then roll them up and tuck the sides in as you go. Put the rolls in a baking dish seam side down. Put tomato sauce and a little water in a different bowl and mix them together. Pour it over the cabbage rolls in the baking dish. Put the dish in a hot oven and cover it with foil. Bake for an hour, or until the cabbage is soft and the beef is cooked all the way through. Enjoy while hot!
