Like, we know from the sacred bloody flesh that meat soaked in the formless mother's blood does not dry or rot.

The formless mother's blood has the properties of blood flame, which we know were bestowed to Mohg, and that makes sense in that rot is repelled by fire.

So it's not a stretch to say that Mohg's body is probably impervious to rotting and drying. A perfectly preserved vessel.

And technically it’s off the floor, I guess. It was originally a pile, but Simon made us move it because he figured the pile would keep growing unless it was somewhat contained.
