Marinette Dupain-Cheng has earned her place on the Mount Rushmore of fictional contingency planners alongside Bruce Wayne (this does not help with the years upon years worth of "Marinette is a Wayne" content already in existence but I love that content so it's fine) and I will die on this hill

granted her paranoia unfortunately ended up entirely validated (which is also gonna make the contingency planning so much worse, cause the worst thing that can happen to a paranoid person is having their paranoia confirmed and validated) but like STILL HOLY SHIT
Literally I kid you not, one of the only three full sentences I was able to produce for like twenty minutes after the end of that episode was, unironically, "Holy contingency plan, Batman!"
like if this doesn't add her to the list of "biggest contingency planners in all of fiction" I don't know what will
Keep in mind she's literally 14 too- not 17, not 16, NOT 15, but 14 years old (yes my timeline math is correct, I've been watching this show since 2018 with an incredible memory for fandom content, I know I am right, don't try to argue this point with me) and is already this smart and clever and paranoid and resourceful- up to the standard of Bat-level contingency planning in my opinion. Imagine if she had Bat-level resources (or in this case ig Tsurugi-level resources). And yeah she has a somewhat decent support system but nowhere near Bat-levels in terms of the Batfam, and the fact that she's still able to (almost) outsmart easily the cleverest and most manipulative character in the show's entire run (who has even managed to trick us, the audience, mind you) in spite of that relative lack of resources will never cease to amaze me. I fear for her antagonists in future seasons if this is how clever she is now at the ripe old age of fourteen.

tl;dr Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a Bruce Wayne level contingency planner and I will not hear anything otherwise
