QotD: What book in your TBR are you excited to read this year? Hola bookstagram! I wasn't sure what to take pictures of this month, so I asked my friends to pick a number between 1 and 48 and I would take a pic of that book. This is one of them hehe. Go ahead and swipe so you can see what it's about and check out the first page. - I've not had much happened this week, except my eye exam haha! It's been 3 years so I figured let's go take a look. It looks like there wasn't much of a change with my eye sight but I'm getting new lenses, AND I now need bifocals for reading. So I will now have a separate pair for reading it seems. I was told when I was a kid that the older I got my eyesight would gradually worsen to the point I may need thick lenses and whatnot, plus stigmatism. This is one of my most recent reads by @laekanzeakemp . I remember reading her self published books a few years ago and really enjoying them. I'm excited to see more books published by her. *<Book Review>* Shipped was a nice refreshing read! It has a little bit of everything. It’s funny! It has likeable characters! It has some romance. And yes, Henley and Graeme are supposed to fall in love but, the romance isn't thrown in your face where it over powers the other good parts of this book. It is beautifully written! This would be a nice beach read or on a really cool wet day like I'm having some nice warm tea and get comfy and crack open this book and let in some warmth in your life! Happy reading everyone! 🌺Novellas🌺 What do you think of novellas? I personally love novellas, as long as I am truly enjoying the series. If I have no cares about the book, forget about novellas. It won't happen for me. Lol. Another thing I love is when novellas, well… let's be real, books in general, have a little bit of extra in them such as these! Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass has character illustrations and Untamed by AG Howard has designed titles and colored ink! So needless to say, these are my favorite novellas. Although story-wise, my favorite is The Assassin's Blade. I cannot wait until I own that one. But I have no clue what I am going to do with my bookshelf space as I am running out quick and I have no more room in my room. Can I also mention how low but high key proud I am of this picture? I hate doing flat lays but I keep pushing myself to do them so I can get better, and while I am not necessarily better, this picture I am definitely proud of. I am also loving my tad bit simpler look. Like before I felt like I needed the confetti I used, and this month I loved that I went without it.
