It’s official SACAMARI IBRIDO CUCUMBERS (the one behind the other one) are my bestest favourites in the whole wide world!!!! The skin isn’t too thick, the flesh is nicely firm with not huge seeds.the flesh is quite sweet and the skin has a teeny tiny itsy bitsy bit of bitterness which actually perfect balancing the whole thing. I had some raw and omg!!! The flavour was outstanding and it’s not floppy, it totally holds its shape. Cooked I can’t even describe to you the joy of finding the perfect cooking cucumber. I love love love adding cucumbers to stir-fries, finding the right one is hard. The Sacamari Ibrido is the perfect stirfry cucumber. It holds is firmness, doesn’t go overly soft or soggy and the heat added to it actually brings more of the flavour out. I have already told Tanny these will be a permanent fixture in our garden for life he just sat there and chuckled. He is amused because I am overly excited about this so yes the cucumber jokes are flying lol. So guys if you want an incredible all round cucumber this is honestly the one to get. Obviously I haven’t tried pickling it yet but that will be next when the rest mature. PS Not burpless but I’m a grub and think it’s a small price to pay for such an incredible fruit!!! . . I made this stir fry with cherry tomatoes, onion, sacamari Ibrido cucumber, noodles and a splash of soy sauce. The garden continues to grow! I transferred the basil sprouts to a larger pot, spread the tomatoes and peppers a little to let them breathe, and planted spinach and lettuce. The spinach is doing well, still waiting on the lettuce. And SOMEBODY bit the tops off my corn sprouts, can't IMAGINE who it was....
