The very British teashop AU ConstanTime love story that absolutely no one asked for. It’s like a Coffee Shop AU but with more tea.

ConstanTime Moodboard because apparently I now ship this pair.
Okay, a little afraid to find out, but I'll bite: 👊
Send 👊 for a description of what it would take for my muse to hit yours!
John lands in Newcastle, a stolen Time Courier on his wrist. He is just outside the club where Astra is due to be dragged to hell in less than two hours. He has to hurry, but he can reverse all of this, maybe even put his shitty life back together.
Then he hears the voice behind him.
“John, you can’t save her.”
And of course he’s there. Rip Hunter stands in the middle of the road, like some sort of old world angel in a duster and boots. John strides up to the bastard, taking the cigarette from behind his ear and using it to point in Rip’s direction.
“The hell I can’t!”
Rip looks disturbingly calm, and it is annoying the shit out of John. The time traveller fixes him with his green eyes, as serious as always.
“You know the damage to the timeline that this will do. You need to think of the people that you’ve saved. It all starts here.”
“Did it ever occur to you that maybe I don’t want that life? What about Astra’s life?”
Rip shakes his head. “I know it’s hard, but Astra’s path is set, and her life ends here.” He pauses. “It has to.”
John pulls back a fist and slams it into Rip’s jaw. And Rip lets him, which makes it a lot less satisfying than he’d expected it to be. He shakes out his aching hand, as Rip staggers backwards and rubs at what will probably be a nasty bruise once it comes up.
“Feel better?” Rip asks, testily.
“No. Let’s go home.”
Rip nods.
“Sorry,” John adds, running a hand through his hair. “It’s been a bad week. Month, actually.”
“I know,” says Rip. “I hear that Newcastle has some good pubs. Shall we?”
“Well, there’s a boat with a revolving dance floor…”
