[EP] Primus neue EP "Conspiranoid" an!
Primus kündigen eine neue 3-Song-EP namens "Conspiranoid" an, die am 22. April digital über ATO Records erscheinen wird!
Die Band hat daraus bereits den epischen, 11-minütigen Eröffnungstrack "Conspiranoia" geteilt. “I'd been itching to record an opus--basically a long, winding, bastard of a song, reminiscent of some of the compositions I cut my teeth (or ears) on, in my music-hungry adolescence,” erzählt Bassist Les Claypool. “"Conspiranoia" was sprouted from a seed I had planted in my notebook a year or so ago--a few lines commenting on the mental state of the contemporary world.”
Als weiteren neuen Song teilt die Band aus der Bay Area im Großraum San Fransico den Track "Follow The Fool", ein verrückter Crossover-Mix, der mit seinen quakenden, schrillen Riffs und wild polternden Drums sein ganz eigenes Genre definiert.
Die Veröffentlichung von "Conspiranoid" fällt mit der zweiten Etappe der "A Tribute To Kings"-Tour von Primus zusammen, bei der das Trio das gesamte 1977er Album "A Farewell To Kings" von Rush aufführt, gefolgt von einem Set mit eigenen Stücken. Die Tour beginnt im April in den USA, bevor Primus im Herbst auch nach Europa kommen.
