Most skaters who are dedicated to the art usually have a few spare decks sitting in their bedroom or garage; usually ones that are too worn out to be used nowadays. As part of Converse’s CONS Project which promotes DIY; Pennsylvania-based skater and woodworker Andy Vasquez shows you how to make use of these old skate decks and turn them into furniture that will serve purpose for years to come. I was recently hired to shoot a series of evens for Converse CONS. Here are some of my favorites from the 4th workshop.

Cons project la 4/4/15 Such a awesome experience designing and cutting out my own board. I was a bit afraid but knowing i shaped and got to cut out my own board made it so much memorable. Also learning more information about how skateboards are made. Such a honor to have met chuck hults and ben horton !
