#dbh #connor rk800 #north wr400 #connorth #deviant connor #deviant leader north #he sits down so GINGERLY #and he gives her so much distance #like he's afraid she won't want his comfort or his company #but she never shows even the slightest reluctance in accepting him 🥺#the degree of reluctance markus shows is entirely up to the player of course as it should be for a player character #but i really do like the way north never even considers mistrusting him #and it's not even inherently a good thing #it's a symptom of her trust for androids over humans and could actually be seen as a weakness #bc i don't think markus is necessarily wrong if he mistrusts connor #like i think this falls short in practice since the player is both connor and markus so obviously knows that markus can trust connor #but from his perspective how can he know that connor isn't faking??#he was designed to be a deviant hunter and is an excellent liar and it would actually be a great tactic for machine connor #and the fact is that even if connor doesn't actually WANT to he might end up helping cyberlife against his will #so it's not just a matter of does he trust connor specifically but rather does he think the situation is safe #at the same time it is very in character of north to effortlessly slip into android solidarity with connor #and it's so nice after everything he's been through for someone to welcome him so entirely #he is such a scared rabbit here tho i can't get over it 😂#also his voice this whole scene... so soft and gentle #gahhh i need to squish him about it #never known someone who triggers my cuteness aggression quite like connor does lmao

the fact that you can have deviant connor telling north "don't worry. i always accomplish my mission." with a grin as he goes to blow up jericho AND machine connor telling north "my mission is to neutralize the leader of the deviants… and i always accomplish my mission." while pointing a gun at her IN THE SAME PLAYTHROUGH.

and in between you can have deviant connor being shot to death and saying "i'm sorry, north... i failed..." as it happens and north hearing it happen and shouting out the saddest little "connor! no..."
